About Choicer Voicer
Choicer Voicer is a dubbing studio that runs in a browser tab. You load a scene with the dialogue removed, record your own lines over it, and export the result as a video. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
How it works
The studio loads a voice pack — a bundle of clips, each holding the original line's audio, a visual for the scene, and the line as written. You hear the original delivery, record your version, and the studio lines your take up against the clip it belongs to. Once every line has a take, it plays the scene back with your voice in place of the dialogue and can render that to a file.
All of it happens on your machine. Recording uses your browser's microphone access, playback and mixing run in the browser's audio engine, and the export is rendered locally. No audio is sent anywhere.
What you can dub
The studio ships empty and you bring the pack. Community packs are published as ZIPs on GameBanana; once imported they are stored in your browser and stay on the tape rack between visits. You can also assemble your own from any audio and images you have the right to use — the voice packs page covers the layout.
Browser support
- Recommended
- A recent Chrome or Edge. Export is fastest and most reliable here.
- Also works
- Firefox and Safari, including iOS and iPadOS. Exported files may use a different container.
- Required
- An HTTPS connection. Browsers refuse microphone access otherwise.
- Mobile
- Supported. The layout adapts, though a longer pack is easier on a larger screen.
Known limits
- Export speed depends on the device. A long pack on an older phone takes a while to render, and the tab needs to stay open while it does.
- Storage is per browser. Imported packs and takes do not follow you to another browser or another device, and clearing site data removes them.
- Video format varies. The exported container depends on what your browser can encode, so a file from Safari may differ from one produced by Chrome.
- Timing scoring is a guide. The score compares your take to the original; a deliberately different reading will score lower without being worse.
Content and credits
Voice packs are assembled by the community and each credits its author in the studio. No pack content is hosted here — packs are fan-made, often built from existing comedy and animation sources, and the underlying material belongs to its rights holders. A pack being importable is not an affiliation or endorsement, and many contain strong language.
If you hold rights to material in a community pack, raise it with the pack's author on the GameBanana page linked above.
Privacy
Recordings stay on your device and nothing is uploaded. The privacy page sets out what is stored, where, and how to remove it.
