Privacy
Choicer Voicer records and mixes audio entirely inside your browser. Your voice is never uploaded and there is no account. Google Analytics measures basic visits and page usage.
Your recordings
Recording starts only when you press record and stops when you stop it. Takes are held in the page while you work and are used to play back and render your dub. Nothing is transmitted to a server, because there is no server component that receives audio — the mixing and the video export both run locally on your device.
Files you save with Save take or Export video are written straight to your own downloads. Where they go afterwards is up to you.
Microphone access
The studio asks your browser for microphone permission the first time you record. The browser controls that permission, not the site, and you can withdraw it at any time in your browser's site settings. Reset mic in the studio re-requests access if you dismissed the prompt. Without permission, everything except recording still works.
What is stored on your device
- Local storage
- Which pack you last had loaded, and whether you have seen the tutorial. Two small values, no personal data.
- Browser database
- Packs you import are unpacked and kept in your browser's own storage so they reappear on the tape rack next visit.
- Storage permission
- The studio may ask your browser to keep that storage from being evicted automatically, so an imported pack is not silently dropped.
- Cookies
- Google Analytics may set cookies such as
_gato distinguish browsers and measure site usage.
The imported packs and studio preferences above remain in your browser on this device. They do not sync anywhere and are not sent to Google Analytics.
Removing stored data
- Clearing site data for this site in your browser settings removes imported packs and the two stored preferences.
- Clearing cookies for this site removes Google Analytics identifiers stored in your browser.
- Revoking microphone permission in the same settings panel stops the studio being able to record.
- Recordings you already exported are ordinary files on your device; delete them as you would any other download.
Third parties
The site has no advertising scripts. It uses the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics measures visits and page usage. It may receive page URLs, referrer information, browser and device details, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and interaction events. It does not receive your recordings, imported pack files, or exported videos.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site. Requesting a font exposes your IP address and browser details to Google, as any request to a third-party host would.
- Links out to GameBanana for community packs are ordinary links. Following one puts you on their site under their privacy terms.
Whoever hosts this site may also keep standard server access logs, which typically record IP addresses and requested URLs. That is a function of the hosting, not of the studio.
Children
The studio is not aimed at children, and community voice packs frequently contain strong language. See the voice packs page for how packs work.
Changes
If what the studio stores or sends changes, this page changes with it. It was last reviewed in August 2026.
