What Choicer Voicer is
Choicer Voicer is a voice-over game you play in a browser tab. You pick a clip, listen to how the original line is delivered, then record your own version over it. When every line in the pack has a take, the studio stitches your recordings back over the scene so you can watch the whole dub end to end.
There is nothing to install and no account to create. The studio is a single page that loads a voice pack, opens your microphone, and keeps every take in your own browser storage. It works solo, and it works just as well with friends crowded around one laptop taking a line each.
How it works
- Pick a pack. Start with one of the bundled starter packs, or import a pack ZIP you downloaded.
- Hear the clip. Play the original line so you can catch the timing and delivery.
- Record your take. Press record and perform the line. Retry as many times as you want.
- Check the waveform. Your take is drawn over the original so you can see where you drifted early or late.
- Watch the dub. Once every line has a take, play the finished dub with the original backing track, then export the video.

Voice packs and dub packs
A pack is a folder of clips: each line has an audio file, a still image or video frame, and a text file with the line itself. Packs may also carry a backing track, so music and effects keep playing underneath while your voice replaces the dialogue.
Three starter packs are bundled with the studio. Community packs are published on GameBanana — download one as a ZIP, keep it zipped, and import it.
Your microphone and your recordings
The studio needs microphone permission to record, and browsers only grant that over HTTPS. Your browser will ask once per site; if you decline, use Reset mic to be asked again.
Recordings are held in your browser and are not sent to a server. Imported packs are stored in your browser's local database, so a pack you imported once is still on the shelf next visit. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.
Browser support
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all work, on desktop and on mobile. A few notes worth knowing:
- The page must be served over HTTPS, or microphone access is blocked.
- Private and incognito windows sometimes refuse local storage, so imported packs may not persist.
- Packs with OGV video are decoded in JavaScript where the browser lacks native support, which is slower on older phones.
- Headphones are worth using — open speakers bleed the original audio into your take.
